ASOS wish list

This is my current wish list consisting of ASOS pieces. Now I only have to save up the money...
The first dress would be a perfect thing to wear to any not-very-formal parties, and since all my evening dresses are black or white, I could use something like this.
And ofcourse, a new bikini, a kickstart for the summer holidays.
The cream cardigan and the sailor-styled jumper would be perfect for fall, since I'm looking for comfortable pieces to wear to school with my jeans and ankle boots.
Finally, the cropped blazer, something I have no occasion to wear at, but it really caught my eye. Wonderful colors!

grey monday

What I wore and did today.

I've been really into my rusty brown wool cardigan lately, a perfect fall item. It'll follow me through fall and keep me warm an comfy.
I did spend most of my day at school, and I had some serious work to do. Now I'll curl up under a blanket with a cup of licorice tea and watch Pretty in Pink.

Happy Monday!

free -not cheap!

all from Vixen // n2 11

I thought I was going to write a bit about one of my favourite magazines: the free, Norwegian Vixen. I know, it's a bit weird to love a free magazine this much, they are rarely any good. But this is something quite different. Vixen is a magazine that's focusing on fashion and music. Every issue is filled with interwievs with strong, original women and pretty shoots. Vixen isn't about mainstream fashion, but about finding you're own style and being independent and confident. I don't see many other Norwegian mags encourage this, at least not the free ones. I highly recommend picking this magazine up at any clothing store if you're in Oslo, or elsewhere in Norway. If you're not, you can read every issue on Vixen's website.

set by me

This is what I would wear today if the weather and money conditions would allow it. It's been pouring outside today, and I managed to get myself soaked, even though I was wearing a raincoat, and I had to borrow a pear of woolen pants from my friend at work. (I'll be working in a kindergarden for three days this week, due to some school project) The incident made me even more desperate for summer, and I believe this outfit would be perfect on a hot day. Too bad I live in Norway and summer doesn't begin for real until late June.
The body from American Apparel in the middle is a personal favourite of mine. I would kill for a garment like that. Unfortunatly, there's no American Apparel stores in Oslo, but I'm going on a school trip to Berlin in a couple of weeks, and I'll hope to get some time to shop.
And, yes, I threw in a Batman-necklace there, too. I usually don't wear jewellery, but if I ever had one of these, I would never take it off.

do you have to have a reason for loving?

all from BardotLove

As seen in my first post I'm currently in love with Birgitte Bardot. She's one of those icons wich beauty you can rediscover time after time. She'll always suprise and amuse. My recent obession has been brought to life by this tumblr blog.
I might do a few other posts about stars and icons I adore, because I certainly have a bunch of them.

the perfect wardrobe

Set by me.

I've resently been really inspired by Dead Fleurette's way of thinking about a wardrobe, what a wardrobe needs, and how to acheive the perfect wardrobe. And I have found myself quite limited in way of clothing, I reuse the same garments, even though my closed is filled to the very edge with clothes. Therefore, I decided to go through all of my clothes, sorting out what I need and what I will give away to recycling stores, like Fretex or UFF.
I haven't got further than my bottom pieces, my playsuits, pants, shorts and skirts, but I've already sorted out more than half of my garments. They're stuff I used to wear a couple of years ago, while I was trying to find my own style and bought a lot of clothes over a short period of time. I'm still stying to figure out my personal style, but I don't wear a new style every day. Most of the stuff I'm giving away is woolen skirts, old sweatpants and colourful shorts. Not really me anymore. I only kept a few skirts, striped, polkadotted and basic black, my favourite (and only) pair of slim, blue jeans, high waisted and comfortable men's pants and some sweatpants for training. I'm getting there.
